Originally from Indiana, he attended the College of Architecture and Planning at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana where he received a four year degree, Bachelor of Environmental Design and a five year degree, Bachelor of Architecture in 1996.

In 1996, Eric moved to Durham, NC, and started working as an intern architect at the firm of Hoke/New Vision Architects.  While at Hoke/New Vision, he worked on a variety of private projects including an extensive renovation to the 100,000+ SF Brodie Duke Warehouse for Measurement Incorporated in downtown Durham.  

After joining the firm of Cherry Huffman Architects in 2001, he rose to the position of project manager and associate with the firm.  He received his license from the North Carolina Board of Architecture in 2002 and is a LEED Accredited Professional.  Eric is a registered Architect in North Carolina and member of the American Institute of Architects. Eric joined Huffman Architects in 2012, and is now part owner along with Miranda Potthoff and Dan Huffman.

Eric’s experience includes recreational, municipal and state government, non-profit, and private clients.  Eric brings over eighteen years of architectural talent, leadership and management expertise to the team.
